Hon. Daniel E. Will serves as the 113th Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. After nomination by Governor Kelly Ayotte and confirmation by the Executive Council, Justice Will was sworn in as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court on March 4, 2026. Will served as an Associate Justice on the New Hampshire Superior Court after nomination by Governor Christopher Sununu in 2021. Prior to becoming a Judge, Will served as the first Solicitor General for the State of New Hampshire, representing the state in civil and criminal proceedings at the trial and appellate level. Before entering public service, Justice Will spent 21 years in private practice as an Attorney at the firm of Devine, Millimet & Branch, where he enjoyed a commercial litigation practice. He tried cases in state and federal court and administrative agencies, and handled appeals at the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Upon graduation from law school, Justice Will clerked for the honorable Morton A. Brody of the United States District Court for the District of Maine, and then clerked for the Honorable Norman H. Stahl of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is a former president of the New Hampshire Bar Association and a fellow of the NH Bar Foundation. Justice Will graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and from Boston College Law School in 1995.
